Stanford??????s Graduate Housing Operations team is seeking part-time Student Assistants to work in the Graduate Housing Front Desk offices. The hours will be variable but the primary hours of coverage could be sometime between 11:00am and 2:00pm, Monday - Friday. There could be other hours during specific times of the year, and by a project-specific basis per arrangement with the FDC in a particular office. Please note that there will be extra hours available for Student Assistants at the beginning and end of each quarter, as well as the possibility of full time employment over the summer quarter if employee is available. Successful applicants will be currently-registered Stanford students, and will be focused, have good attention to detail, and have a personable and welcoming presence. Federal Work Study eligible students will be given preference. Spouses and partners of currently enrolled students may be considered. The Housing Front Desks serve as an information, service, and problem-resolution resource for any housing-related issue for residents, conference guests, Student Housing staff, and others within and outside the Stanford community. Each Housing Front Desk is staffed continuously during its hours of operation year round supporting students and conferees. The pay rate for these part-time positions is $11.80 per hour. Duties and Responsibilities (others may be assigned as needed): ?????? Greet students, staff and other guests when they come into the office. ?????? Answer office phones and respond to questions, referring to the FDC when necessary. ?????? Send out mass email notifications ?????? Learn and relay (often complex) Housing policies and procedures ?????? Assist students with lockouts by signing out a board key and/or temporary building access card. ?????? Sign out dollies and vacuums, tracking all activity in the respective log. ?????? Provide office coverage during meetings. ?????? Notify students via email of any misdirected mail brought into the office. ?????? Prepare keys and other check in materials per instruction of the FDC. ?????? Check students in and out, tracking activity via registration cards. ?????? Assist the FDC with regular key inventories. ?????? Put in work orders, rekey requests, and other maintenance requests into the system. ?????? Assist the FDC with quarter-opening and quarter-closing duties, as necessary.
