About Caff??? del Doge

Caff??? del Doge is an artisanal coffee roasting company from Venice, Italy.

The award-winning coffees can be found in the finest gourmet shops, cafes,

and restaurants in 24 countries of the world, including Dean & Deluca in the

US; plus in its own cafes in Italy, Japan, Argentina, and Hungry.

Founded in 1952, in reverence of the noble figurehead of historic Venice,

the company conserves the most guarded secrets of the antique art of coffee

roasting. It is dedicated to the traditional cold-blending and

light-roasting methods that embody that which is known as truly Venetian.

Caff??? del Doge opened its first cafe in the heart of historical Venice, a

stone's throw from the eminent Rialto Bridge. Palo Alto is the chosen

location for the company's first cafe in the US.

Caff??? del Doge coffees are made with only the finest of Arabica beans,

originating from the highest-altitude estates, including Jamaica, Ethiopia,

Guatemala, just to name a few. Expertly roasted, the beans achieve great

body, fragrance, aromas, and aftertaste. Caff??? del Doge artfully blends its

fine coffees with local natural products to produce world-class coffee

drinks.

As a member of the Specialty Coffee Association of Europe and the Slow Food

movement, Caff??? del Doge adheres to strict preparation standards and

environmentally sustainable ethics. Via its I Bambini del Caff??? foundation

it devotes itself to providing educational, health, and nutritional services

to those disadvantaged children in economies that are heavily dependent on

the production of coffee.

Caff??? del Doge was voted among the very best new cafes in Italy for 2005 by

Gambero Rosso, the premiere Italian food industry magazine and restaurant

guide.
