Oklahoma State safety Andre Sexton has been named to the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) freshman All-America first team, the organization has announced.Sexton, a product of Cypress Falls High School in Houston, had previously beennamed the 2006 Big 12 defensive freshman of the year as selected by the league coaches, and he was a second-team academic all-Big 12 pick.He is one of just four Big 12 players named to the FWAA freshman All-America team, joining Texas quarterback Colt McCoy, Baylor linebacker Joe Pawelek and Colorado punter Matthew DiLallo.Sexton ended the 2006 season as OklahomaState s leading tackler with 79 stops, along with a team-high 57 solo tackles. He had 8.5 tackles behind the line of scrimmageand forced three fumbles during the season.
