For the third time in four weeks, an Oklahoma State Cowboy has been named the Big 12 Conference's men's basketball player of the week, it was announced today by the league office. Mario Boggan, a senior forward for OSU, was named the conference's player of the week for the second time this season for the period ending Dec. 24. In two games at Tennessee and against Pittsburgh, the Durham, N.C., native averaged 25 points and 7.5 rebounds. He scored a career-high 30 points with a key basket in the final minute of a 95-89 double-overtime victory vs. seventh-ranked Pittsburgh. He also had nine rebounds, two assists and a steal against the Panthers. Earlier in the week, he had 20 points and six rebounds as OSU dropped a 79-77 decision at Tennessee. Boggan shot 51.5 percent (17-of-33) from the floor in the two games and was 16-of-19 (84.2 percent) from the free-throw line.
