Project Overview: The primary goal of this project is to integrate Machine Learning (ML) features into our structural engineering web application, with a focus on the development and fine-tuning of StructGPT. Your work will involve collaboration on existing structural design tools, optimizing features with large language models (LLMs), and ensuring seamless backend integration and testing. Project Goals: Objective: Train and integrate StructGPT, a specialized LLM for structural engineering tasks. Tasks: - Familiarize yourself with the current structural design tools used in our application. - Review and understand the current implementation of LLMs. - Identify, collect and preprocess data relevant to structural engineering. - Fine-tune LLMs, StructGPT, on downstream tasks specific to structural engineering. - Collaborate with the team to design features that can be optimized using StructGPT. - Integrate StructGPT with the existing structural design tools into the backend of our web application. - Develop and implement unit tests to ensure functionality and reliability. - Debug and resolve any integration issues. - Collaborate with the team to conduct code reviews and improve the overall codebase.
