Hello all, We're looking for two housemates ($1100/person, or one housemate for the same rent of $2200/month) to fill 1 large, master bedroom with walk-in closet in a 7Br/6Ba 4000+ sq ft home in Midtown Palo Alto. This is ideal location for anyone commuting to Facebook, Google, or Stanford! Room Description: - 200 sq ft, private bathroom connected to the room. - private walk-in closet also in the room - $2200/month (1 person is also welcome for the same rent! It doesn't have to be 2 people) - Flexible move-in date. Rooms will be unfurnished, but the rest of the house is fully furnished, a foldable NanaWall, projector setup in the downstairs area, home fitness area, and a Japanese style sitting space with tatami mats and a kotatsu. Location-wise, we are around the corner from Grocery Outlet, a quick walk to the San Antonio Caltrain station, close to multiple farmers markets, and a wonderful bike ride on Bryant Street to Stanford and Downtown Palo Alto. For additional details, we can also share a short video tour of the house with you! Lease Details (*Important): Current lease of the house ends on November 1st, 2023. We are settling down last details of renewing the lease for 1 another year. If you move-in, all 7 housemates would be signing the lease. This means that you would be on the hook for 1 year until October 31st, 2024. If you need to move out earlier, you can definitely find someone for replacement to your room. Should you find replacement, all 7 housemates would be re-signing the lease for the remainder of time until October 31st, 2024. Description about Current Housemates: - 5 Male and 2 Females from early 20's to early 30's. Tech Workers, PhD students, interns. We're easygoing and amiable! Everyone is eager to get along and help each other out. - We love to engage in a nice community life, but we also live independent lives. We have a housemate chat for open communication, to continue good. positive vibes among the housemates. - We also share going to Costco to buy groceries / etc. - Decision making process is in unanimity, so everyone has to agree in order to make decisions like lease renewals, covid quarantine policies, etc. - We sometimes do house dinners (but no pressures at all!), or movie nights in our basement room projector set-up. After work we spontaneously gather and chat around the kitchen table. - We have various hobbies, such as cooking, playing the piano, outdoorsy stuff (biking, hiking). - Quiet Hours: The house will be pretty quiet around from 11PM-12AM, that's when almost everybody goes to their rooms and go to sleep Additional details: - New construction (2017), we are the first tenants to live in the home. - Lots of light and communal space, plenty of room for everyone. - Close proximity to Facebook and Google, about a 10 minute drive. - 3 miles from the Palo Alto Caltrain Station and downtown Palo Alto - 5 minute drive from Stanford. 15 minutes by bike. - Central Cooling and Heating. Washer/Dryer in-house - We split utilities/WiFi (arguably the fastest in Palo Alto), which will be around $150 on top of rent. - We have driveway with plenty of parking spots and a garage that stores all our bikes/outdoor goods. - No pets (sorry :( ) - No smoking or drugs of any kind
