The house is located a short 10-15 min drive from Stanford, Downtown Mountain View, and Downtown Palo Alto, and just 5 min away from Downtown Los Altos including shops, restaurants, and grocery stores. I-280 is just across the neighborhood for convenient access to San Jose and San Francisco. The room is 12x12 and also has a private exterior entrance, a sliding glass door. The room is unfurnished. You will share a bathroom with one other person. We are a group of 11 housemates aged 25-35, one dog, one cat, numerous house plants, and various wildlife inhabiting our secluded backyard. We are a diverse group of former academics, graduate students, engineers, and more. We all have our own schedules and it is very rare for us all to be home at the same time, but we like to do occasional group get-togethers like house dinners, board game nights, bike rides, hikes, and movie nights. The housemates are social and welcoming, and everyone is accommodating and respectful to one another's boundaries. There is plenty of common space for everyone to spread out and enjoy the house apart from just their room. The house has several amenities. The basement includes a pool table, as well as a third living room. There is a huge backyard with a garden, patio, fire-pit, and a trampoline. The large kitchen is equipped with modern appliances including dual full-size ovens, a 6-burner ceramic stovetop, a dishwasher, and a filtered drinking water tap. There is a dining room and two large living rooms on the ground level with views to the backyard through panoramic windows. The house uses a WiFi 6 mesh system so that there is strong signal in all parts of the house. Washer and dryer inside the house. We are LGTBQ friendly! Couples welcome! Available October 1. The rent for the room is $1580/month, utilities are typically around $100/month and include internet, gas, electric, trash, water, a housekeeper can be added for the common areas. Gardeners care for the landscaping weekly, which is included in the rent. The refundable security deposit is 1 month of rent.
