The bedroom is 10' x 11' and comes furnished with a full bed, nightstand, glass top desk, plenty of storage with built-in shelving and closet. You must be responsible and able to pay rent on time each month without exception. Our house is a smoke-free and drug-free environment. HOUSEMATES: You'll be joining a friendly and collegial community of postdocs and researchers from various fields at Stanford University and a tech professional. We rotate house chores weekly, and overnight guests are discouraged. THE HOUSE: Our 2500 sq. ft. house has wood flooring covered by rugs, recent carpeting and paint in all the bedrooms, two renovated bathrooms with ceramic tile, new toilets, sinks, and showers, and a large central living room with a 75" HD TV home theater system for movie nights. Our remodeled kitchen features ceramic tile flooring, solid quartz countertops, new cabinetry, a dishwasher, and built-in microwave. We also have a high-end gas range and two refrigerators. Our dining room seats eight people, and we have a dedicated laundry room with a washer and dryer. Plus, our backyard is spacious with comfortable outdoor furniture, and there's plenty of parking in the driveway. LOCATION: Our highly desirable, upscale Menlo Park neighborhood is centrally located in the heart of Silicon Valley. We're only 3/4 of a mile from the Menlo Park CalTrain station, a 30-minute walk from Stanford's Campus, and a 10-minute walk from downtown Palo Alto's coffee shops, restaurants, and bars. Downtown Menlo Park and Trader Joe's and Safeway are also within easy walking distance. WHEN: The room is available on September 1st. Minimum rental period is six months.
