We are looking to fill one bedroom in our 5-bedroom, 3.5 bath house. The house is a spacious (2300 sq. ft.), 2-story Redwood City home in a quiet neighborhood close to 101, downtown Redwood City, and shopping centers on El Camino. It is in the vicinity of railroad tracks, but we never hear train noises. The four of us have been living together for 1-4 years, and one housemate is moving to the east coast. We have lived at this location for over 3 years and have a solid relationship with the homeowner. ABOUT THE HOUSE - 2-car garage (used for bikes, projects, and extra storage) - Synthetic hardwood floors and tile downstairs - Bright, recessed lighting in every room - Central heat and A/C - Fireplace (unused) - 75" 4K TV - Large backyard patio with waterfall, 2 grills, and a fire pit - Fruit trees: lemon, lime, orange, apricot, pomelo - Fire pit - Large, modern kitchen with gas range, furnished with lots of cookware and silverware but has lots of room for your own gadgets - Furnished dining and living rooms - Several common closets for additional indoor storage - Washer and dryer - Two master bedrooms with private bathrooms - 1.5 common bathrooms - Weekly landscaping service included - Security system and other smart home features - Gigabit AT&T fiber internet - No pets allowed ABOUT THE ROOM - 13' x 9' + closet - Second floor - Unfurnished OR partially furnished (inquire for furniture details) - Window overlooking side yard - Wall-to-wall carpet - Wired ethernet jack - Shared upstairs bathroom with two housemates, but one primarily uses the half-bathroom downstairs near his bedroom - Available September 3 for an 8-month lease (through May 31, 2024), with a 1-year extension beyond that dependent on the homeowner moving back into the house - Preference given to those who can begin paying rent on September 3 and stay for at least 8 months (early termination fee applies) Utilities and internet have ranged from $50-$100 per month, mainly depending on sprinkler usage, with solar panels offsetting some of the electric bill. ABOUT US 4 guys in our 20s and 30s: - Engineer at a sports tech company. Likes baseball, traveling, cooking, working out, repairing his truck, searching for hangover cures. - Engineer at a quantum computing company. Likes building and fixing electronics, a jack of all trades. - Engineer at a business software company. Likes flying, surfing, cooking, and pizza on Fridays. - Engineer at academic research lab. Likes snowboarding, craft beer, gumbo. We often run into each other in the kitchen and catch up. We typically do our own things outside the house, but the door is usually open to hang out. ABOUT YOU We are looking for a laid-back, courteous, and responsible housemate who will contribute to keeping the place enjoyable and the kitchen clean. We want to maintain a respectful, friendly environment where we occasionally host dinners with friends or significant others, so we are looking for someone with similar goals.
