Two rooms are available in a rare historic Victorian house in the heart of downtown Palo Alto.
The house is in a perfect location:
- 5 minute cycle to Trader Joe's and Whole Foods
- 10 minute cycle to Stanford campus
- 2 minute walk to the many restaurants, cafes, and shops on University Ave (just far enough to avoid the noise)
- Most of us walk and/or bike everywhere and find the location as good as it gets!
Room 1 ($2325 + $160 utilities): Available now, year-long renewal possible at Sep 1.
- Master bedroom - very spacious, has separate living and sleeping areas
- King bed included + fully furnished (desk, nightstand, coffee table)
- Private, in-suite bathroom
- Walk-in closet
- Must be able to stay until the end of August, at minimum, but ideally be able to renew for a year
- Video walkthrough:
Room 2 ($1950 + $160 utilities): Available Sep 1 (year-long lease).
- Luminous, with large windows
- Clean bathroom shared with one other tenant
- Queen bed included + fully furnished (bookshelf, dresser, wardrobe, vanity)
- Female preferred
The house has a garden with a tropical feel (palm trees, an orange tree, and plenty of flowers), a gorgeous, professional kitchen, elegant dining room, comfy reading room, and a living room filled with sun. There are also shared office set-ups around the house as well as communal space in the garden.
We also have carport parking (no need to street park) and a basement to store your things, as well as space to store bikes in the garden (secured behind a locked gate).
Washer/dryer in house (free to use). House has A/C and heating. Kitchen is fitted with shared appliances, pots & pans, silverware, dishes, etc. There is space to store your own as well!
The house is completely furnished, but you are free to bring anything you’d like.
About the housemates:
- We’re 4 working professionals in our mid to late 20s to early 30s, both in tech and at Stanford
- We’re clean, respectful, and try to keep the house a peaceful space for everyone
- We enjoy spending time together when we can (movie nights, house dinners, etc)!
We absolutely love living in this beautiful historic home and hope to find someone who loves it as much as us.
Who we’re looking for:
- Ideally someone who can stay for a year.
- Quiet, respectful, and clean. The house is large and we all work together to keep our common areas. We are not a party house.
- Sorry, no smokers and no pets.
If you’re interested:
- Respond with a short bio introducing yourself (current job, hobbies, what you’re like as a housemate, etc.) and your move in/move out dates. We’ll reach out for a chat if it sounds like you’re a good fit.
Hope to hear from you soon!
