There is public bus right outside the house that goes to Stanford.
Parking guaranteed outside the gate if you have a car.
There is a laundromat two walking blocks away.
And an small Mall 1/4 mile away--Starbucks, upscale organic grocery store, bagel cafe, gym, nail salon, Chinese restaurant.
The house is in a woodsy area on a quiet end part of a street that is across from the creek (greenbelt) and across from Palo Alto. It's E. Palo Alto but on the West side of 101. Relatively close to our famous marshlands (Embarcadero) for biking, hiking, jogging -- or meditation during sunset with a 360 degree view of the Bay Area.
Furnished. Brand new mattress, relatively new quilt, paint, flooring, microwave, small refrigerator, plates, utensils, towel, set of sheets.
No hot plate or toaster oven (appliances that have electric coil that heats up red are not allowed in room per fire department regulations. Water kettle, coffee maker are OK. Ideal for those who don't want to cook meats, fish--but you may be someone familiar with micrwave cooking--many other raw items can be cooked in the microwave--pasta, rice, lentils, potato, boiled or scrambled eggs, besides reheating food. Or, you may be someone who does not cook at home or eat much at home--such as Stanford students who buys a meal plan.
