Job description Outstanding Structural Engineering firm actively seeks highly motivated, self starting, and people oriented, Engineers. This Structural Engineer will be a major contributor for commercial and residential building projects. Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to overseeing all levels of engineering as a project engineer. - Coordinate and oversee structural plans creation with clients, architects, CAD department, etc. - Design appropriate structural system in accordance with specific building code requirements and sound engineering principles for all applicable forces resulting from gravity, wind and seismic. - Develop complete sets of fully detailed structural drawings, with clear and concise specifications. - Participate in project meetings (i.e.: design development, value engineering, express plan-check, etc.), site visit, etc. - Contribute to an amicable working environment with fellow colleagues, associates and employees to provide excellent customer service and meet project deadlines. Qualifications: Must Have: - BS or MS in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a Structural Emphasis. - Familiarity with UBC & IBC code requirement Preferred but not required: - Working knowledge of engineering design software – RISA. - Design experience with the following building materials: wood, concrete, masonry and steel. - Proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit.
