A cute loft cottage is available for a 1 year lease starting anytime between 11/24/20 and 12/01/20. The cottage is mostly furnished with a leather couch, lamp, side table, lazy boy chair, dishes, dining table and 4 chairs, and a single and double bed in the upstairs loft. I would also be happy to leave you my tv, office chair, kettle, toaster, fan, microwave with alexa, glasses, garbage/recycling cans, and more if need be. The kitchen has a full-size fridge and freezer, oven and stove, and lots of cabinet and counter space. The bathroom has a cabinet, shower, sink, and toilet. There is a closet, and ample storage space both downstairs and upstairs. The cottage has hardwood and ceramic floors, and carpet in the loft area.The cottage is also full of light with lots of windows and 3 skylights (I love it), and it even has a small private backyard. The cottage is located 2 blocks from University Avenue in downtown Palo Alto, and is 2 miles from Stanford. Street parking is readily available, and a parking permit can be purchased from Palo Alto City Hall for $50.00 per year. The rent includes the water, heat, gas, and electricity. I also share the high-speed internet with the tenant next door (~$30.00 per month). First and last months rent, and a deposit of $500.00 is required to move in. I am a postdoc here at Stanford, and I have decided to move back home to Toronto to be closer to my family. Otherwise, I would have renewed for another year. The cottage is ideal for 1 person, but guests are welcome. No pets are preferred, but may be negotiable. No on-site washer/dryer.
