My housemate is leaving, so I am looking for somebody new from November 1! What is the apartment like? The apartment is located on Middle Ave in Menlo Park. It is very close to a big Safeway (open 24/7), Trader Joe's, and other shops in down town Menlo Park. Within a few minutes by bike, you can reach the Stanford Campus over the bike bridge. El Camino Real is also very nearby, so you can go everywhere by car easily. The train station of Menlo Park and Palo Alto are only a few minutes bike ride away. The bedroom offered is light and spacious: 11’8” x 12’3” (3.5x3.7m). It has a big build-in wardrobe, with a shelf above the hanging area. It is possible to take over the current furniture. A spacious living room with access to our private garden. A bathroom that you share with me. A kitchen that you share with me. Full use! We have a fridge, freezer, microwave, great stove/oven, dishwasher, toaster, pots, plates etc. You wouldn't need to bring anything. A private garden with sun and shade and a barbecue! There is also a shared garden with a grass field adjacent to our garden. Washing machines and dryers are available in our building. Despite its central location, the apartment is in the back, so you won’t hear much street sounds. Private parking spot. No smoking, no drugs. No overnight guests. Rent is $1435/month. Not included are utilities (gas, electricity, internet), which are around 50-100 dollar/month. We share costs for house hold supplies. Who am I? I am a 31-year old, Belgian, female postdoc working at Stanford in immunology. In my free time, I like to hike (so basic I know), cook, or just relax with a good book/movie/series or meet-up with friends (outside nowadays). I am an early bird during the week and quite busy, but also like to catch up or hang out with a housemate regularly. Who are you? Preferably a female and long-term renter. We would match best when you are a non-smoker, clean, tidy, and relatively quiet.
