Hello! We’re a group of young professionals and students in Palo Alto Midtown, looking for someone to take over a bedroom in our house - lovingly known as Chateau Greer.
Great things about the house:
- Close to campus (15 min bike, 8 min drive)
- Close to Baylands park if you like running, biking, birding, or just the outdoors generally
- BIG backyard (I’m currently trying to grow tomatoes, but we’d love to make more use of this space)
- HUGE room
- Private bathroom
- Private Entrance
- Lots of parking
- Right by Greer park (basketball courts, dogpark, softball if thats your thing)
- CHEAP rent: $1250 a month, (rent is month by month, no obligation just find your own replacement)
- Large common spaces- Kitchen (Lexi has a kitchen aid <3), living room with a huge TV thanks to a kind donation from moving friends. We have a large storage shed as well for extra stuff.
Did I mention the roommates are super cool?
Eben grew up in the south Bay and went to school at UC Berkely. He works in tech (currently at
Salesforce), and loves the outdoors- specifically hiking, biking, and surfing. He is a fairly social person and is always down for a cup of tea and a good chat.
Lexi is the heart and soul of the house. You couldn’t find a kinder human, and she goes out of her way to make us all feel at home, and is incredibly responsible and organized She’s also a boss in her own right, with a master’s degree in psychology. She is working for the social security agency on disability cases.
Leah is a PhD student in Political Science at Stanford, originally from the midwest. She’s outdoorsy, and active, and always down for a conversation about feminism or military technology. Also she loves martial arts so if you own a heavy bag or know how to roll or hold pads it’s a plus ;)
Johnathan is leaving :( He didnt send me a bio, but he’s also really cool, and the sportsman of the house. Just don’t ask him about his mountain bikes (cough, 45 minutes later he’ll still be going, cough). :D
What we’re looking for
A friendly roommate who is the reasonable standard of neat, nice, and easy going, and doesn’t mind (or can at least tolerate) animated discussions about politics (Leah can’t help herself sometimes). We’d love to have someone who is down to be friends/ a little social, but we respect everyone needs their own space as well.
Must believe in climate change, science, and the basic humanity of other people.
If you’re interested (I don’t blame you) here’s what to do:
Reply to this message with 1) your name, 2) a little about you, and 3) your availability for a zoom interview/house walkthrough next week.
Prep for a grueling and harrowing interview experience - not really. It’ll be super chill.
