Hello! I'm a female postdoc at Stanford and my fabulous sweet roommate is leaving so I'm looking for someone to take her place. We have a beautiful sunny 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment just a few blocks from downtown and 4/5 blocks from Whole Foods. We are also close to the Caltrain. The rent is $2000 + electricity + internet + $100/month for cleaning (non-pandemic times) The apartment is furnished but I'm also open to replacing some of the furniture if you have your own. Your room could be furnished or unfurnished. Your bathroom has plenty of cabinet space and a shower/bathtub. The apartment was completely renovated before i moved in with new wood floors, all new surfaces/granite countertops in the kitchen and bathroom, and new paint etc. We live on the top floor of the complex and have a large balcony with a table outside and a little herb garden (basil, chives, tarragon, thyme, sage, dill). The apartment complex has a nice yard as well with a table, and a large garden including a fig tree, an orange tree, a lemon tree, and a lime tree!! It's lovely to run right downstairs if we need a lemon! Especially now!! Your room is large (13x11) with ample closet space. We also have three extra large hallway closets that you can use, so plenty of storage. The apartment is 1100 square feet, not including the balcony. The kitchen has a dishwasher, stove, refrigerator, granite countertops, and plenty of cabinet space in beautiful new wood cabinets (a LOT). It's so convenient, I walk almost everywhere, and it's also walking distance to Stanford (30-35 minutes) and the free Stanford Shuttles at the Palo Alto Caltrain (~15 minutes). A little bit more about me: I am happy, easy-going, love my life, work a lot, love flowers and nice food and being in the joy of the moment. When I'm not working I like to exercise (spin, pilates, yoga, horseback ride etc), read. I'm fairly clean and would love to live with someone that loves to live in a clean space, but also I would never be upset with you if you leave a dish in the sink once in a while. My current roommate and I are friends and went to pilates together and I'd love to live with someone I can be friendly with! Looking to find someone that can move in June 1st (might be flexible).
