The California Bar is NOT going to PASS itself. That's where these books come in! They are best used with a Themis course. I seem them listed online for $350, but I have to move to SF soon, and if you come pick them up from me in Palo Alto, I'll just sell them for $50 and buy some burritos from Sanchos. They have no writing in them. PS. They helped me pass the CA bar, when there was a 27.3% pass rate. Good luck! Best, George
