Through a strange set of circumstances, I have an invite (+1) to a dinner party/performance art piece next week. My friends are too weirded out by the premise, so I turn to you, strangers of Stanford. Here's the deal: The dinner will be cooked by a friend of a distant cousin of mine. He's a sous chef in a famous SF restaurant and is hoping to explore new dimensions in cooking through dinner parties such as these. He's announced the theme of the night as "bitter" and will be prominently featuring bitterness in his dishes. Whatever that means. The performance art piece is my cousin's. As I understand it, she's going to get naked, throw noodles around the room, and repeat "Bill Clinton" over and over. I genuinely don't know if there's more to it than that. My proposal: lets head over there, have a few (or more) drinks at the bar downstairs, then go to the dinner party. We can have a laugh together over the bitterness and noodles.
