Struggling with chemistry, physics, biology or math? The right tutor can make all the difference.</font></p>
<p align="center">Science professors are notorious for their ability to confuse students. While they know the material very well themselves, they may struggle to explain it clearly.</p>
Perhaps I can help you. I am the founder of Superb Tutors. I started the company in 2007 in San Diego and have been tutoring ever since. While running Superb Tutors full time I interviewed over a hundred tutors, so I am very familiar with what makes a good tutor. Currently I am accepting students myself in the Sanford/Palo Alto/Menlo Park/Redwood City/Mountain View area <br><br>

I primarily tutor chemistry (both high school, college general, and college organic) and biology but can also tutor most high school and college math courses and physics. <br>

I started Superb Tutors in May of 2007. I have always been passionate about educating others. Even as a little kid I'd give nature lessons to the other students on my block. In high school, I excelled, becoming the science department award recipient and participating in the UC Davis Young Scholars high school research program program. After high school, I attended UC San Diego as they awarded me a scholarship and because of their strong molecular biology program. As a student there I worked as a TA teaching various biology courses and I also volunteered in a molecular biology research group at Scripps Research Institute. In June 2006, I graduated first in my major with a 4.0 major GPA, receiving the Outstanding Achievement Award in Molecular Biology. In 2010 after tutoring full time for 3 years, I began PhD studies in Genetics at Stanford University. I was recruited with the Stanford Graduate Fellowship, one of Stanford's most prestigious fellowships. <br>

Despite my academic record, school was not always easy for me. In grade school I was diagnosed with ADHD, but by learning effective coping mechanisms I was able to learn how to do well academically. I knows personally that diagnoses such as ADHD don't mean a student is less intelligent, but rather that they just learn differently from other students. Tutoring can also help students learn effective study habits to help overcome such challenges.

I been tutoring chemistry and biology since I was in high school, and I have extensive experience tutoring both high school and college level courses. In addition I can tutor high school physics and all high school math through calculus.<br>

"I struggled with Organic Chemistry for three quarters. Finally I decided to get a tutor. With Justin's help not only did I understand the material, but I also gained the confidence I needed to take a test without being scared. I am happy to say that I have finally completed the quarter of Organic Chemistry."<br>

"Justin was an amazing tutor. I have never been much of a Chemistry student so when I had to take the class to fulfill prerequisites, I knew I needed a tutor. Justin took a great interest in making sure I understood all the information and he was also able to talk about Chemistry in a way that I could understand. I never dreamed I would have gotten an A in Chemistry---but I did!!!"

High school students:

"Justin had a great relationship with my teenage twins. They looked forward to their tutoring sessions. He seemed to know exactly what they needed. As a middle school teacher I was thoroughly impressed with Justin's ability to diagnose student weaknesses and re-teach skills that were not mastered in the classroom setting. I would recommend his services for any parent looking to raise student performance."

"Justin was very helpful in trying get a tutor to help our family. Justin returned phone calls right away and emails to make sure that things were happening quickly and afterwards when I made contact with a tutor, Justin wanted to make sure things were going well with the tutor and scheduling. I really appreciated that commitment from Justin and his tutors. "

"During my Sophomore year I was really struggling with a lousy Chemistry teacher, my grades were bad and the teacher was unwilling to help. I contacted Justin and he tutored me in both organic and inorganic chemistry. Justin helped me improve my grade in Chemistry to a solid A, and on top of that was really friendly and easy to work with. Justin and I worked through practice problems provided by my teacher so I could learn how to apply my chemistry to laboratory applications. He basically taught me second semester Chemistry!"
